The Psychology Student's Annual Awards
We are asking students to participate in nominating students for various Psychology Department Awards being given at the annual Arts and Sciences Honors Convocation in the spring. Below are descriptions of the four (4) awards. You may nominate yourself or other students for one or more of the awards, or you may ask your advisor or any other full-time faculty member to nominate you. December graduates are eligible to receive awards in the spring following their graduation. The faculty will deliberate and vote on the nominees for these awards. Recipients will receive a commemorative plaque at the annual Honors Convocation. If you are interested in being nominated, please see Ms. Lee in Monroe 444 for more information.
Outstanding Research Award
This award recognizes excellence in undergraduate research. All psychology majors are eligible. The recipient of the award will be determined following review and evaluation of a completed research paper. The evaluation will be conducted by the department faculty and outside reviewers. The submitted research paper must comply with the stylistic guidelines set forth in the APA's Publication Manual (4th ed.). Four copies of the paper must be submitted. In the event that more than one paper is submitted by any one student, each paper will be judged separately.
