Annick Mégie (Spanish 08) — Sigma Delta Pi Scholarship for summer language study at
the Universidad Internacional The Center for Linguistic & Multicultural Studies in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Annick is a Mass Communications/Advertising and Spanish double major. Sigma Delta Pi is the national Spanish honor society.
Courtney (Gisi) Cannizzaro (German 04) — scholarship for 2006-07 to participate in the Erasmus Mundus Master's Program in Clinical Linguistics (in the Netherlands, Finland, and Germany). She is in the process of completing a European Master's degree in Clinical Linguistics. Courtney has just been accepted into a prestigious PhD program in Language Acquisition at the University of Groningen (Netherlands), where she will be employed as a research assistant in a large project studying the acquisition of Dutch.
Bradley Boovy (German/Spanish 01) — M.A. in Spanish at Tulane University, who is currently completing a PhD in German at the University of Texas (Austin), has a fellowship to study at the Free University in Berlin for the school year 2007-08.
Sarah Quintana (French 07) received a French Assistantship from the French Ministry of Education. She is teaching in Marseille and received a Heritage Scholarship, an award that pays for round-trip travel to France.
Megan Harvell (French 07) received French Assistantships from the French Ministry of Education. She is teaching near Paris.
After graduation, Kara Langford (07) worked at the French Consulate in New Orleans. She plans on entering a graduate program in French.
Nicole Butler (German 07)--Student Ambassador for ConRuhr, a consortium of universities in the German Ruhr valley (Dortmund, Bochum, Duisburg-Essen).
Lori Tyler (Spanish 06)—Sigma Delta Pi (National Spanish honor society) Scholarship to study Spanish in Cuernavaca, México, summer 2006
Elizabeth Peters (Spanish 06)—Language and Culture Assistants Program, to assist English language teacher in Llerena (Badajoz), Spain, 2006-07 school year
Eliana McCaffery (French 06)—Domengeaux Scholarship, through CODOFIL, to attend the Sorbonne, Paris, for her Master’s degree, beginning Fall 2006
Brooke Kiehne (French 03)—earned Master's degrees in both French and Business and is currently working for a French petroleum firm in Houston (when she is not traveling to places like Japan).
