Student Organizations
The Modern Foreign Language Club—Open to all students at Loyola, to share the many cultures represented by the members of the campus community and to learn more about the languages and cultures taught here. The club meets once each month, and may plan additional activities. Contact Dr. B. Anderson or Nicole Healy, President.
Cross-Cultural Encounters—Open to all MFLL students and students in the Loyola Intensive English Program (international students). This group meets at least once each semester, and holds Lingo-Rama in the spring semester, a celebration of language and culture. They also sponsor the various Language Tables.
The French Honor Society, Pi Delta Phi—Open to majors, minors, or other students at the advanced level who meet the national requirements. Contact Dr. Mabe.
The German Honor Society—Open to majors, minors, or other students at the advanced level who meet the national requirements. Contact Dr. Dewell.
The Spanish Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi—Open to majors, minors, or other students at the advanced level who meet the national requirements. Contact Dr. Doll.
The Modern Foreign Language Club and Ross Foreign Language Center host Conversation Tables for French, German, and Spanish in the Danna Center. For information, contact Dr. Kornovich. For information concerning Japanese conversation groups, contact Fr. Farge.
The Loyola Anime Club focuses on making the campus aware of Japanese culture and animation. Through animation the Japanese language and culture are taught. For information, contact Fr. Farge.
