Eileen J. Doll received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Purdue
University in 1986, specializing in Spanish 20th-century literature and
the 20th -century theater of Europe (Spain, Ireland, Russia in particular).
She has published articles on Ramón del Valle-Inclán and
other members of Spain's Generation of 1898, on the Irish theater of John M. Synge, and on contemporary Spanish theater, in
particular on the plays of Jerónimo López Mozo. Her book
on his drama, El papel del artista en la dramaturgia de
Jerónimo López Mozo: juegos temporales e intermediales,
is due out by the end of 2008. Her most recent article is
“El laberinto de la realidad: Combate de ciegos de J.
López Mozo” in Rilce, Revista de Filología Hispánica
24.2 (2008): 275-284. In May 2008, she received the
Excellence in Teaching Award from the College of Humanities
and Natural Sciences.
