Writing Across the Curriculum Center

The Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) Center, located in Bobet 100, offers free peer tutoring and other writing resources to Loyola students. We provide writing assistance for students at all levels during any stage of the writing process. In addition, the center provides writing assignment assistance and in-class workshops for faculty. We can tailor a variety of workshops to suit professors' needs, including WAC offerings, brainstorming methods, research methods, documenting sources, and using logical arguments.

The center also features computers and printers for student use and a computer classroom with 20 PCs and a Smartboard for faculty use. Faculty may reserve this space by contacting Mary Waguespack at wagues@loyno.edu. During the fall and spring semesters, we have daytime, evening and weekend hours, and we have limited weekday hours during the summer sessions. William T. Cotton Seminar Room

Named for one of our finest teachers, the William T. Cotton Seminar Room was created for small classes, especially creative writing classes, to foster an atmosphere of collegiality. It is equipped with a large screen TV and artwork by former faculty member Richard Johnson, a painting of the "Tree of Life" in Audubon Park. Dr. Cotton donated this painting to the facility.
