Seventeen Eighteen

1718 is a student-run literary reading series that features a published writer and student writers in a monthly public reading. 1718 readings are free and open to the public and are held the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at The Columns Hotel (3811 St. Charles Ave.) during the school year (September-May). Founded in 2006 by Loyola English alum, poet, and author, Martin Pousson, 1718 quickly became one of the premiere reading series in the city and remains a vital part of the New Orleans literary scene.
