The following students presented papers or received scholarships for their work in Classical Studies:

Katie Jones (2005) presented papers at the 2003 National Eta Sigma Phi Convention on Ancient Religion and Religious Associations at the University of Pennsylvania, and at the 2004 and 2005 meetings of the Classical Association of the Middle West and South.   She also presented her honors thesis at the 2004 meeting of Classical Association of the Middle West and South, Southern Section.

Sonnet Brown (2004) presented a paper at the annual meeting of 2002 Classical Association of the Middle West and South, Southern Section and completed a departmental honors thesis in Spring 2004. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Library Science at LSU.

Brent Hernandez (2001) and Katie Jones (2005) received Manson Stewart Scholarships from the Classical Association of the Middle West and South.
